Mary has been a resident of Lakewood since 1992, and has lived in Washington since 1978.   She earned an Associates Degree from Tacoma Community College, a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts from Evergreen State College, and was awarded a Masters Degree from Chapman University in Organizational Leadership.  She has over 30 years of experience in the finance industry.

She began her career in the financial industry in 1978, as a teller for McChord Credit Union which is now known as Harborstone Credit Union where she currently services as the Community Relations Manager. 

She has served as Honorary Commander for the 446 squadron on McChord Air Force Base and chaired the Military Affairs Committee for the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce.  She has also served as Vice President for the Air Force Association (AFA) McChord Chapter and secretary for the State Chapter of AFA.  She is currently member of Association of the United States Army (AUSA)

Mary has a long history of service to the citizens of Lakewood.  She serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Clover Park Technical College.  She has served on the Finance and Budget committee for the Trustees Association of Community and Technical Colleges (TACT) and on the Workforce and Economic Development Advisory Board for Pierce College.

She has also served as a board member for the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, the Saint Clair’s Women’s Advisory Board and the Lakewood Playhouse

She was named Ambassador for the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, as well as named Ambassador of the Year and was selected by the Business Examiner as “ A Woman of Influence”.
